Accessibility statement

Last updated: July 2026

Dreccano AB is committed to making dreccano.com usable by everyone, regardless of ability. This statement is issued under the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882), which applies to e-commerce services in the EU from 28 June 2025, and the Swedish Act on Certain Products' and Services' Accessibility (2023:254).

Conformance status

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and the corresponding European harmonised standard EN 301 549. The site is partially conformant: most content meets the standard, and known gaps are listed below.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, and keyboard-navigable components.
  • Sufficient colour contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for body text) and a monochrome palette that avoids reliance on colour alone.
  • Text alternatives for product and editorial imagery.
  • Visible focus indicators, skip links, and no keyboard traps.
  • Support for browser zoom up to 400% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion — decorative animation is disabled when requested.

Known limitations

  • Some product photography lacks fully descriptive alt text; we are updating captions across the catalogue.
  • Third-party checkout (Stripe) and payment provider iframes follow their own accessibility statements.

Assessment

This statement is based on an internal review of the site conducted in July 2026 using automated tools (axe, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard/screen-reader testing.
